Cheri Gaulke is the Upper School Head of Visual Arts at Harvard-Westlake. She has mentored hundreds of successful video/film projects in her roles as a Video Art teacher and director of the Summer Film Program. She is also an artist and filmmaker whose work has been exhibited internationally.
Jeff MacIntyreEmmy-Winning Journalist/TV Producer
Jeff MacIntyre has been producing content for Broadcast, Documentaries and New Media since 1988. He’s been a freelance producer/shooter/editor for ABC News for over fifteen years. Assignments have taken him to Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Central and S. America. Jeff’s earned 31 Emmy nominations and won 11 for Outstanding News Reporting and Production. Plus, he’s received four Edward R. Murrow Awards.
From London to Los Angeles, he’s been invited to lecture on all things New Media. Audiences have ranged from high school students to seasoned industry professionals. Jeff’s been a New Media Journalist/Backpack Reporter/One-Man-Band long before there was even a “New Media”. His roots lie in radio. Jeff’s been cracking the mic ever since he started using Clearasil and has hosted a nationally syndicated show for over a decade.
Alethea has taught high school and college social sciences courses focused in social justice since 1997. (B.A. in history and teaching credential from the University of California, Santa Barbara, 1994; Juris Doctorate from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College, 1998.) Witnessing how academic achievement and student interest increased with experiential-service learning, she enhanced her classroom instruction with annual trips of students through Latin America, Europe and Asia.
In addition to directing Peace Works Travel, Alethea provides consultation for independent schools instituting their own global education programs.
